Three weeks have passed A 26-year-old Women Malem Thangam started a hunger strike in the national capital to demand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit Manipur and cooperate with the state government to restore law and order.
As Thangam’s health worsened, the police admitted her to the hospital. But Thangam, who refused treatment, continues his initiation.
The hunger strike was started in the capital to bring the central government’s attention to the violence that has been going on in Manipur since last May.
