On Saturday night (25th Night) in Rural kontamuru (Rajahmundry Rural) of East Godavari District,Andhra Pradesh  Rajahmundry, a burglary took place at BVR Buildings in Prakasam Employees Colony. Thieves entered the house and stole silver and gold jewellery worth about 3 lakhs from the Beeruva.

The owner of the house, the family locked the door, and went her daughters house  who lives in Rajahmundry town. After they came back to the house, the belongings and clothes were scattered in the house, and the belongings were also left outside, so the owner of the house, Mirtipati Purna Prakash (retired irrigation employee), immediately gave information to the Rajanagaram police.

After that, the police came and searched the house. It was recorded in the CCTV camera that all the three thieves came on a motorcycle and kicked the thief.

The family has been living there for the last 6 years.  Many people live in this area which is under the jurisdiction of konthamuru panchayats.  There are no street lights here at night, and even though there is a police outpost station, there is no night pet rolling here , local people said.

As this area is on leading to Rajahmundry AIR Port, it is a highly frequented area and the chances of theft are high.  The people of Konthmuru have appealed to the police officials to provide protection to the property of the people by keeping night vigil by the police.
