AMARAVATI – In the wake of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s visit to Rajahmundry on the 25th of this month, Janasaina Party Tourism Minister Kandula Durgash will review the arrangements in Rajahmundry today along with the District Collector and SP with top officials.
The Deputy CM will focus on the necessary measures to eliminate pollution in the Godavari basin and organize Pushkaras. The Minister said that the Deputy Chief Minister will reach Rajahmundry on Tommorow night and will inspect various ghats by boat from Pushkara Ghat to Kotilingala dock on Monday morning.
He also said that the steps to be taken to make the Nalla channel pollution-free will also be reviewed. Later, it was revealed that a comprehensive review meeting on the management of Godavari Pushkaras will be held at the Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation office under the leadership of the District Collector.
The Minister expressed his concern that although Godavari is a holy river, the pollution problem is currently worsening. However, if planned steps are taken from now, the upcoming Pushkaras can be organized in a healthy and clean manner.
The Minister called for making the most of the coming year, coordinating among departments and taking suggestions from public representatives to formulate a comprehensive action plan and work towards organizing pollution-free Pushkaras.
