Godavari Pushkaralu – 2027 should be used as an opportunity to bring world-class recognition to both Godavari districts. Rajahmundry Member of Parliament Daggubati Purandeshwari suggested that a comprehensive DPR should be prepared for every development proposal sent from the district and steps should be taken to bring it to the attention of the central and state governments and make it work.
In a review meeting chaired by her today, Collector Kirti Chekuri explained various development proposals related to the district.
There is immense potential for the tourism sector in Godavari district and Godavari Pushkaralu should be used as an opportunity to bring world-class recognition. She suggested that a comprehensive DPR should be prepared for every development proposal sent from the district and make it work.
It was mentioned that a central level team visited the agency area and confirmed its suitability for the establishment of a zoo park in connection with the tourism sector. The meeting also discussed the high-level permission process related to this.
It was suggested that the Kadiyam nursery areas should be developed into more attractive tourist centers and that special tourism spots should be created to attract tourists by utilizing the existing natural resources and floral wealth there.
Similarly, the district should have high-ranking educational institutions in the country, IT and corporate sector investments, expansion of employment opportunities, establishment of a financial literacy center, media and tourism promotion, CSR fund raising, astro tourism, and innovative projects like Birla Planetarium were also brought to the attention of the MP during the meeting.
