9 people died after eating Sea turtle meat
Tragedy took place in the Zanzibar Islands near the African country of Tanzania.
While 9 people died after eating sea turtle meat, 78 others were sick and received treatment.
The government asked the people not to eat sea turtle meat. Even though it is known to be harmful, Zanzibarians love to eat sea turtle meat. In November 2021, seven people including a three-year-old child died after eating turtle meat .
