(Visakhapatnam) Vijay Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Government of India,
emphasized that systematic planning at all levels is necessary to further improve cargo transportation.

He also stressed that every employee should cultivate discipline and work diligently for the development of the organization and the country.

On Friday, Vijay Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Government of India, visited the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) and reviewed the port’s performance.

During the review meeting, Vijay Kumar examined in detail the performance of PPP berths, cargo handling, and financial performance.

Road and rail connectivity, PM Gati Shakti infrastructure projects, modernization and mechanization of berths, flyover development, fishing harbor modernization, and green port initiatives, among other key areas.

He also visited Visakha Container Terminal Private Limited (VCTPL) and inspected the functioning of the container scanning facility installed at the terminal.

Visakhapatnam Port Authority Chairperson Dr. M. Angamuthu and Deputy Chairperson Ms. Roshni Aparanji Korati accorded him a warm welcome.
