MRS. APARNA GARG, I.R.A.S., TOOK CHARGE AS DIRECTOR GENERAL OF INDIAN RAILWAYS INSTITUTE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Mrs. Aparna Garg, an Indian Railways Accounts Service officer of 1987 batch of Civil Services, has taken charge as the Director General of Indian Railways Institute of Financial Management (IRFM).
Prior to assuming these responsibilities, Smt. Aparna Garg has worked in Railways for 35 years as Chief Financial Advisor of Rail Wheel Factory, Bangalore; Divisional Railway Manager, Mysore Division and in various capacities in Southern Railway, Western Railway and South Western Railway.
She is a Chevening Fellow and holds an Advanced Master’s degree in Transport Economics from the University of Leeds; United Kingdom. Apart from this, she also trained at Bocconi School of Management, Milan; INSED/ Singapore and Indian School of Business/ Hyderabad.
