State Civil Supplies Minister Manohar, who received public appreciation for distributing ration rice to the people in Andhra Pradesh without any hindrances
State Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Nadendla Manohar said that it is a great milestone in the history of public distribution of the state to provide ration goods to more than one crore people in 7 days.
As part of the civil supply policy undertaken by the coalition government, distribution of goods to 1,46,21,232 ration card holders started from June 1st through 29,796 cheap price shops across the state.
Ration was provided to 1,05,27,767 card holders during these seven days. That is, ration goods were provided to 72 percent of people.
Similarly, 98,77,670 cardholders were distributed sugar. This is Percentage: 67.56%, Minister Nadendla Manohar said.
A special service for providing goods at home has been made available for the elderly and disabled above 65 years of age, and so far 11,05,439 people have been distributed in this way.
He said that there is a significant increase in the number of families taking ration. The government is working towards the goal of “Door-to-door service”. He said that from the 1st to the 15th of every month, beneficiaries have been given the opportunity to take ration goods at their convenient times from morning to evening.
He reminded that a more convenient system has been set up for consumers in ration shops and the old ration system that existed earlier has been reintroduced.
Dealers should work with a service mindset. Minister Nadendla Manohar clarified that the government is committed to being transparent, responsible and for the convenience of the people.
