AP Metro Rail Corporation MD Ramakrishta Reddy met with representatives of several foreign banks today to provide loans for Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam Metro Rail projects
Representatives of the banks who inspected the proposed metro corridors in Vijayawada at the field level. It is estimated that a loan of Rs 12000 crore will be required for the cost of the two metro projects.
It has been decided to raise a loan of Rs 6100 crore for Visakhapatnam Metro and Rs 5900 crore for Vijayawada Metro.
The MD of Metro Corporation, who is in talks with banks that provide loans at low interest rates, held talks with the representatives of the banks.
Representatives of KFW, AFD, ADB, NDB, AIIB, JICA, World Bank attended the meeting. They came forward to provide loans for these two projects.
