Domestic and foreign companies are showing interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh. Some companies have already laid the foundation stone. Some companies are signing agreements on investments.
The 6th SIPB meeting held under the chairmanship of CM Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat on Thursday approved 19 projects. In relation to these, investments worth more than Rs. 33 thousand crores have been approved. About 35 thousand people will get job and employment opportunities in the energy, tourism, IT and electronics sectors.
SIPB has met 6 times so far in these 11 months and has approved investments worth Rs. 4,95,796 crores in relation to 76 projects. Through these, 4,50,934 people will get job and employment opportunities.
Companies that have come forward for investments in the state and signed agreements. Officials should continuously monitor the projects. A dashboard should be brought to know the status of field-level work.
So that the stage of any project can be known. A portal should be created with details of jobs received along with investments. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to explain the progress regarding projects that have already been approved and agreements have been signed.
There is a shortage of hotels and rooms in the tourism sector. If hotel rooms come, tourism will get a boost. 50 thousand rooms should be made available.
If the prices of hotel rooms are available, tourists will stay. By preparing and implementing a policy regarding caravans, new tourists will get a new experience. Tourism income will also increase, Chandrababu said.
Good accommodation is especially important for those who come to temples. Those who come with families want to stay in a peaceful and clean environment. Steps should be taken to increase accommodation facilities in the 21 crowded temples in the state.
Projects to provide accommodation by setting up tents should be started. Similarly, the Aarti program being conducted at the Godavari and Krishna rivers should be taken up to enhance spiritual beauty,’ the Chief Minister suggested.
Agricultural waste should be converted into a circular economy through small plants. Industries that make good use of agricultural waste should be encouraged,’ the CM suggested.
