The coalition government is working with the aim of providing welfare to every family, said Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar.

A meeting was held with representatives of the civil supplies shops association and MDU operators at the Civil Supply Bhavan today under the chairmanship of Minister Nadendla Manohar.

He said that many people are still waiting for the ration rice provided by the government in many villages, rural areas and towns in the state.

He said that the government will purchase rice at Rs 46-10 paise per kg for the welfare of the poor and provide 2 lakh 50 thousand metric tons of rice, 6500 metric tons of sugar and other goods to the people through 29 thousand cheap shops across the state.

The minister said that the state government will take a step forward with the cooperation of all sections with the aim of further strengthening the public distribution system.

The meeting was attended by Civil Supplies Commissioner Saurabh Gaur, MD Manveer Jilani and representatives of the Civil Supplies shops association and MDU operators.
