TDP State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao said that the revival of the prestigious educational institution Visakha Vimala Vidyalayam has given hope to thousands of students and teachers’ families.

He said that it is gratifying that the government has responded positively and provided a permanent solution to the problem in difficult circumstances when the survival of Vimala Vidyalayam, which was once the address of quality education in steel plant aided schools, has become questionable.

Palla said that he has been working continuously for the past year to resolve the problem of the school. He met Union Steel Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy several times in Delhi and submitted petitions, and every time he visited Visakhapatnam, he explained the seriousness of the problem and requested him to save the future of the school. He said that with the cooperation of MP Sribharat, he brought this issue to the attention of the central and state governments and tried tirelessly for a solution.

He reminded that in the past, the future of the school was uncertain due to the financial difficulties of the steel plant, and students and teachers were deeply worried. He said that with this decision, 32 teaching and non-teaching staff have got job security, and the educational future of hundreds of students in Ukkunagaram has been secured.

Palla Srinivasa Rao said that it is a historic decision that has protected the aspirations of the people of Ukkunagaram, the future of the students, and the livelihood of the teachers’ families.

He said that the fact that a large number of students have already been admitted is a testament to the faith that the people have in this educational institution. He hoped that Vimala Vidyalaya would develop further in the future and once again stand as an example for quality education in the Gajuwaka area.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Education Minister Nara Lokesh, Union Steel Minister H.D. Palla Srinivasa Rao expressed special gratitude to Kumaraswamy, MP Sribharat, district administration, education department officials, and steel industry management.
