A key decision has been taken on the appointments of Agricultural Market Committees (AMCs) in Andhra Pradesh, with the finalization of chairmen for 66 agricultural market committees. 53 from the TDP, 9 from Jana Sena and four from the BJP have been finalized as chairmen.

The coalition government in Andhra Pradesh has taken a key decision on the appointments of Agricultural Market Committees (AMCs). It has finalized the chairmen of a total of 66 agricultural market committees. In these appointments, 53 people from the TDP, 9 from the Janasena Party and four from the BJP have got the opportunity as chairmen.
The representation of social groups has been taken into account in these 66 chairman posts. 17 people from BC social groups, 10 from Scheduled Castes (SC), five from Scheduled Tribes (ST) and five from minorities have been appointed as chairmen. These appointments were made with the aim of strengthening the agricultural market committees in various parts of the state and providing opportunities for local leadership.

The coalition government said that through the appointment of these chairmen, it is committed to effective management of the agricultural sector and providing better services to farmers.
