AMARAVATI: AP Revienu Minister Anagani Satyaprasad said that if any officer makes a mistake in resolving land dispute cases, we will take strict action if it is found that the Liaison Officers are in collusion.

He also said that action has already been taken against some officers who have tampered with records in land disputes.  Today, Revenue Minister Satya Prasad said in the Legislative Assembly.

He said that 1228 cases have been pending since 2026. However, he said that the number of cases being registered is also very low due to various steps being taken to resolve revenue problems after the coalition government came to power.

Liaison Officers have been appointed at the district level to resolve cases registered in the High Court.  He said that a league cell has been set up at the district level under the leadership of the collector. He said that the Revenue Department is effectively using the Andhra Pradesh Online Litigation Case Management System portal for the management of court cases.

Amendment to the Assigned Lands Act also approved by the Legislative Council

The State Revenue, Registration and Stamps Minister Satya Prasad said that the Assignee Act is being amended to provide stable and additional income to the assignees along with state development and employment to the youth.

He said that the establishment of renewable energy industries (green energy) is very crucial for the establishment of industries in the state and the establishment of data centers in Visakhapatnam.

He said that assigned lands are required in some places to set up clean energy projects, and therefore the law is being amended to take those lands on lease basis. He said that this amendment to the law will play a key role in achieving the coalition government’s goal of providing employment to 20 lakh people.

He said that this amendment to the law will help in achieving the goal of reaching the net zero carbon level as part of the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision. He said that the lands will be leased from the assignees only with their full consent and after their acceptance.

He said that by leasing these lands, the assignees will get a net income of Rs 31 thousand per acre, and the lease will be increased by five percent every two years.

Satya Prasad said that the minister said that there are many waste lands in the assigned lands, and by leasing these, the assignees will get additional income.
