Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeswari stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is organizing the Sansad Khel Mahotsav – 2025 programs within the parliamentary constituencies with the aim of fostering interest in sports among the youth.
The closing ceremony of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav – 2025 was grandly held at the local Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram.
Purandeswari stated that the youth should be given adequate encouragement for their interest in sports, and that they should possess the equanimity to accept both victory and defeat equally. She added that sports enhance not only physical fitness but also mental fortitude.
MP Daggubati Purandeswari expressed concern over the fact that young people are falling prey to bad habits in today’s modern times. She clarified that parents and teachers have the responsibility to guide children towards sports and cultural activities along with their studies.
She advised them to stay away from drugs and bad habits and adopt a healthy lifestyle through sports.
She stated that such sports programs play a crucial role in shaping the youth into good future citizens of India. The MP stated that the fact that over 65 percent of the country’s population is under 35 years of age is a great strength for India, and if this youth power is guided in the right direction, the country will progress further on the path of development.
He expressed hope that India, which has emerged as the fourth largest economic power in the world, will reach even greater heights in the future.
Rajahmundry RDO R. Krishna Naik said that playing sports increases physical fitness and mental maturity among the youth, and instills in them the ability to face any situation with courage. Kovvuru MLA Muppidi Venkateswara Rao said that recognizing the interest of the youth in sports and organizing such competitions is commendable.
The program was grandly organized by sports management representative Haseena Sheikh. Later, a prize distribution ceremony was held for the winners of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav sports competitions.
RUDA Chairman Boddu Venkataramana Chowdary, District Sports Officer Sheshagiri Rao, , DEO K. Vasudeva Rao, and others participated in this program.
