The coalition government is working with the aim of providing houses and house sites to all the eligible poor in the state, said State Housing & Information and Civil Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy. 

Government has a target of completing 15.59 lakh house constructions in the next five years, of which 3.00 lakh houses have already been completed, and the remaining 12.59 lakh houses will be completed in the next four years, the minister said. 

Speaking to mediya at the State Secretariat Publicity Department on Tuesday, the minister said that in addition to the 3.00 lakh houses that have already been completed, his government is moving forward with the aim of completing 5.00 lakh houses by the coming Ugadi and another 87 thousand houses by June. 

He said that in the wake of the Centre extending the implementation period of the PMAY-1.00 scheme for another year, the coalition government is aiming to complete the 3.03 lakh houses that have not been started yet under this scheme by December this year.

That steps have been taken to construct 8.87 lakh houses under PMAY-1.0, 91 thousand houses under PMAY-2.0 Urban and 5.81 lakh houses under PMAY Gramin.

In addition to these, he said that the coalition government is aiming to complete the 3.03 lakh houses that have not been started yet under the PMAY-1.0 scheme by December this year.

That out of the target of constructing 5.81 lakh houses under PMAY Gramin, 3.47 lakh people have already applied for the Awas Yojana app and if anyone else is eligible, they should register their names through the app by the end of this month.

He said, that in just 16 months of our government coming to power, 3.192 lakh houses have been completed. the coalition government, without any partisanship, is continuing the construction of the remaining 11.90 lakh houses out of the 18.61 lakh houses sanctioned by the previous government.

However, the representatives of the previous government, who boast that they started these houses themselves, did not give a single rupee on behalf of the then state government for their construction.

He said that in the survey conducted to identify those who need house plots, it has been found that 81 thousand people need house plots so far. Similarly, the Minister said that the Chief Minister has ordered that position certificates be issued to about 1.15 lakh people living in government and private land.

The Minister said that a G.O. will be issued soon to provide the opportunity to build twin houses with common walls with the aim of encouraging joint families.

that the government has renewed the additional financial assistance provided by his government for the construction of houses for SC, ST, BC, and PVTG. He said that this government has decided to provide additional financial assistance of Rs. 50 thousand to minorities.

The Minister said that a vigilance report has been submitted on the irregularities that have occurred in the past in the construction of houses.

According to this report, it was revealed that the Rakrit construction company had committed several irregularities in the construction of houses.

That it has been revealed that this company has been involved in corruption worth about Rs. 80 crores, steps have been taken to recover this money from the company and all possible legal cases have been registered in the districts in which irregularities have been committed. He added.
