His continuous services to the human society are unforgettable, said Goretla Butchaiah Chowdhury, TDP MLA of Rajahmundry Rural, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh.
The district collector and other officials participated in the celebrations of Satya Sai Baba’s centenary at the local meeting hall on Sunday.
The coalition government officially organized this program with great pomp. MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhury presided over the meeting.
The MLA personally stated that Gurukul education has been a guide to his life. MLA Butchaiah Chowdhury said that his life, which showed the principle of service as the supreme religion throughout his life, will remain an eternal inspiration.
MLC Somu Veerraju said that Sathya Sai Baba is a great person who has shown the essence of Indianness to the world. He said that his service programs are running in 140 countries and are a testament to his universal service. Veerraju said that Sai Baba, who gave lectures in Telugu out of love for his mother tongue, is praiseworthy.
Joint Collector Y. Megha Swaroop said that the services done by Sri Sathya Sai Baba for the people are worthy of imitation by the youth, and said that even after a century, the messages of love, service and kindness given by Sathya Sai Baba are the lights that guide the society.
