Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said that the efforts being made by Minister Nara Lokesh to take the state’s aqua sector to the world level are commendable.
He said that the aqua tie-up with Australia will be the beginning of new opportunities. In the wake of high tariffs imposed by the US, Minister Atchannaidu said that Lokesh’s foresight to provide new markets for AP aqua products worldwide is commendable.
He appreciated Minister Lokesh’s commitment to the development of AP aqua farmers during his visit to Australia. He said that increasing the quality of aqua products, giving priority to modern technology in the fields of storage capacity, processing, cold chain and packaging will benefit the farmers.
He said that Minister Lokesh’s determination to bring international recognition to the APC Sea Food brand will bring respect to the state. He said that the state’s 1,000 km coastline is a strong base for the aqua industry and the government is actively working to attract investments in this sector.
Praising the progressive ideas shown by Minister Lokesh in the fields of skill development, research and technology, he said that the steps being taken for joint research programs with the Western Sydney University are welcome.
He commented that the steps taken to provide smart farming technology to farmers are commendable. Minister Atchannaidu said that the state is pouring in investments under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and that thousands of youth will be provided employment opportunities through the development of the aqua sector.
