SCR launches “Amrit Samvaad under Special Campaign 5.0”

The Amrit Samvaad Programme, as a part of Special Campaign 5.0 was conducted today i.e., 4th October 2025 at Begumpet Railway Station. Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway interacted with passengers and rail users. Ms.lty Pandey, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other senior officials also participated in the programme reinforcing the Railway’s commitment to public engagement and service improvement.

During the session, passengers shared feedback on improvement of passenger amenities such as cleanliness, escalator access and onboard catering services. Shri Srivastava addressed these concems directly and emphasized that Begumpet is one among the major redevelopment stations under the Amrit Station Initiative. He assured that suggestions regarding safety, hygiene, station cleanliness, watering facilities and catering would be acted upon to enhance the overall passenger experience.

The General Manager also highlighted the initiatives taken to improve cleanliness of stations, trains and provision additional general coaches. He appelaed the passengers to use Rail One App as a valuable tool to submit feedback and track resolutions promoting accountability in serving passengers better through conducting Amrit Samvaad campaigns.

Amrit Samvaad campaigns also held at Huppuguda and Falaknuma Stations, where rail users were informed about various initiatives undertaken for public benefit. Feedback was actively sought and the public appreciated the Railway’s direct engagement approach to improve passenger amenities to reach the expectations of passengers and Rail users through interactive campaigns.

Meanwhile, the Amrit Samvaad Programme at Kakinada Town Station saw enthusiastic participation from Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) Members and passengers. Suggestions included coach indication boards, punctuality of trains, lifts, baby feeding rooms and increased train frequency. Passengers praised the courtesy of staff and the Railway Protection Force’s role in maintaining safety.

As part of the Go Green initiative, General Manager, distributed jute bags to rail users, reinforcing SCR’s commitment to sustainability. Earlier, Dr.R.Gopalakrishnan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division while delivering the welcome address briefed on the passenger amenities available at Begumpet Railway Station.
