Andhra Pradesh State Women’s Commission Chairperson Smt. Rayapati Sailaja said that strict action will be taken against any woman in the state who is wronged or their rights are violated.
Smt. Rayapati Sailaja took charge as the Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh State Women’s Commission at the Andhra Pradesh State Women’s Commission State Office in Mangalagiri on Monday.
Speaking at a media conference organized later, Women’s Commission Chairperson Shailaja said that she will work for women’s empowerment and beyond politics.
She assured that she will do justice to everyone who complained even after dusting off the complaints filed during the previous regime. She said that she will take the necessary steps to the attention of the National Women’s Commission and resolve the issue.
Recently, those who have been posting obscene posts on social media platforms should change their behavior, otherwise strict action will be taken, said Mrs. Rayapati Sailaja.
She said that they are planning to organize awareness seminars and programs to increase respect for women from the school level among students. She expressed the opinion that this can definitely bring about a change in society.
Wherever injustice is done to women across the state, they should bring it to their attention and work towards a solution as soon as the information is received. She said that a website will be created under the auspices of her department for complaints.
She said that in addition to filing complaints through this website, arrangements have been made to know the stage of their complaint. She said that she will bring back the former glory of the State Women’s Commission.
