AMARAVATI: (Bengaluru) A horrific incident in the name of love in Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru is creating a sensation across the country.
The incident of a woman blindfolding her boyfriend, tying him to a chair, pouring petrol on him and setting him on fire has created a huge stir.
This horrific incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Anjananagar under Baidarahalli police station limits.
Both of them work in a store and have been in love since last year. On Tuesday, Prerna called Kiran to her house saying that no one was home. After talking for some time, she convinced him by saying that she would do a ‘Western style proposal’.
Blindfolded and tied to a chair:
As part of the proposal, Kiran was blindfolded and tied to a chair. At first he objected, but when he said that this would be done abroad, he agreed. Later, she poured petrol on Kiran’s body and set him on fire. The fire spread quickly and he was burnt alive.
What made it even more shocking was that Prerna did not move and recorded the scene on her cellphone while Kiran was writhing in the flames. When the neighbors heard his screams and reached the house, Kiran was already dead.
When the police arrested her and interrogated , it is reported that she said, ‘He does not care about me.. I suspected that he would not marry me.. That is why I killed him.’ The police are investigating.
