AMARAVATI – Legislative Council member and prominent hair exporter Vanka Ravindra Nath said that the central government should pay special attention to the growth of Hair exports and to acquire high technology.

Today, hir exporters from South India participated in a meeting organized under the joint auspices of the Central Organization Director of Foreign Trade and Plastics Export Promotion Organization on the topic of “Construction Capacity-Hair Exports-Technological Development”.

Ravindra Nath said that thousands of people are employed in many states through hair export, and that Indian exporters are lagging behind in the manufacturing of wigs and other hair products, and that the government should help in sending scientific and technological knowledge related to this manufacturing sector.

He said that central agencies should inform the Prime Minister’s Office to reduce the import duty on Indian hair products in other countries, and that such matters would be resolved well during the Prime Minister’s foreign visit.

Ravindra Nath suggested that foreign exchange for the country would increase significantly through technological advancement, and for this, restrictions should be imposed on raw hair exports and priority should be given to products made from hair.

Palani Phani Kumar, who came from the Visakhapatnam Deputy DGFT office, said that he would inform the higher authority about the problems of exporters and also explained about the incentives currently available to small and micro exporters.

Plex Council Regional Director Rubin Hobde said that the council will make Eluru and Tanuku the main centers for the export of hair dyes without any problems.
