Addressing a media conference organized at the Civil Supply Bhavan today, the minister said that rice cards will be provided to everyone who is eligible as per the government rules.

There is no delay in issuing new rice cards. We are giving new cards to everyone free of cost within 21 days of applying. This is a continuous process.

He said that changes and additions to rice cards will be carried out across the state from May 7. He said that there has been no opportunity to change these for the last two years. The Center has made it clear that eKYC is a must.
