AMARAVATI: Gates Foundation Chairman Bill Gates has commented that the governance provided through technology in the state of Andhra Pradesh is wonderful.
Bill Gates, who visited the Real Time Governance Center at the State Secretariat in Amaravati on Monday along with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, viewed the presentations displayed on the display walls there.
The use of technology in governance from RTGS was thoroughly examined. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu explained to Gates the manner and results of providing civil services faster through real-time governance.
He said that first, all government departments have been connected through the state’s data lake system, which enables faster decisions to be taken. Officials gave presentations to Bill Gates on Data Lake, Aware 2.0, WhatsApp Governance, Sanjeevani Digital Health Records, and Amaravati Capital through display walls.
He informed that information is being collected in real time through Aware 2.0 and it is being provided to the people quickly. The Chief Minister said that by providing 42 types of information to the people and farmers, there is an opportunity to respond immediately.
The CM also explained that through WhatsApp Governance, public services have also been facilitated… 921 services have been brought into the hands of the people.
Bill Gates, who examined these with interest, said that it is good to facilitate public services. He also learned about the way public opinion is being collected on the implementation of the schemes and policies being implemented by the government.
The Chief Minister explained to Bill Gates that the growth of GSDP in the state is also being assessed from time to time through key performance indicators.
Gates asked the Chief Minister what precautions are being taken for the security of property records in AP. Responding to this, the Chief Minister explained that land records are being preserved with blockchain technology.
He said that steps have been taken to ensure transparency by installing security features like QR codes on land records. Officials gave a presentation to Gates that the AP AI search bar has been made available to make government documents accessible to the public.
Bill Gates, who examined this, commented that the tax collection process is excellent. The Chief Minister explained that after the implementation of GST, the tax collection process in the country has become much easier and the collections have also increased.
Gates examined the implementation of the Sanjeevani project being run in Kuppam and Chittoor districts with great interest with the help of the Gates Foundation. He said that the Sanjeevani digital health records project being implemented in Kuppam is good. He praised the method of providing medical services using artificial intelligence as very good.
Bill Gates also examined the presentation given on the construction of the public capital Amaravati with interest.
Earlier, Bill Gates, who had come to the RTGS center, was given presentations on a video display wall by young officials.
