Minister Kandala Durgesh has clarified that the Nandi Drama Festival will be held in November this year with great pomp. Minister Kandala Durgesh participated as the chief guest in the centenary celebrations of the founder of Ambika organizations, Alapati Ramachandra Rao, at Eluru, under the auspices of Ambika organizations, Hindu Yuvajana Sangam, and Helapuri Kala Parishad.
On this occasion, Minister Kandula Durgesh explained the glory of the art and cultural sectors, the support provided by the coalition government to the arts and cultural sector, the development features of the tourism and film sector, the greatness of poetry and drama, and the injustice done by the previous government to the tourism, film, art and cultural sectors.
He said that the Nandi Drama Festival, which has brought glory to the state of Andhra Pradesh, will be held with great pomp. He said that the Nandi Awards for TV and cinema will be revived and presented in November along with the Nandi Drama Festival.
He said that he recently met Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi to request him to provide a ”National School of Drama” for talented artists in Andhra Pradesh. He said that by doing so, they will give a helping hand to the drama and art sectors and encourage enthusiasts.
He said that there is an opportunity to set up a National School of Drama in Rajamahendravaram, which is a haven for arts. He said that the name of Alapati Ramachandra Rao, who gave his all to the growth of the art sector, will be immortalized.
He said that an agreement was recently signed between the AP government and Creative Land Asia to set up the first Transmedia Entertainment City in the country in AP. He said that efforts will be made to grow in the film sector in Amaravati in the future..
