The Sujala Sravanti project, which will provide irrigation water to eight lakh acres and drinking water to nearly 30 lakh people, will become a lifeline
The Chief Minister has targeted to complete this long-term plan within two years by filling the water system centered around Visakhapatnam, filling the Eluru reservoir through the Polavaram left canal, and linking the Vamsadhara, Nagavali and Champavati rivers. The project has the potential to decisively change the lives of lakhs of people, said Andhra Pradesh TDP President Palla Srinivas.
The Chief Minister , Srinivas asserted that Chandrababu Naidu’s vision will change the future of the people of North Andhra and the revival of the Sujala Sravanti project will bring the long-standing agricultural aspirations to reality. Srinivas explained to the media at the TDP office in Gajuwaka. Visakhapatnam.
The Sujala Sravanti project, which was launched in 2009, almost collapsed during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule. Without working a single rupee, he announced projects worth ₹17,000 crore on paper. Instead, North Andhra was reduced to a cannabis cultivation hub, and Rushikonda was cut down by his followers. Prestigious companies like Franklin Templeton, HCL, IBM and HSBC have pulled out of Visakhapatnam due to the intimidation atmosphere. He alleged that the people were also misled with lies on the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

In contrast, Sri Srinivasa Rao said that the coalition government has resumed irrigation projects worth ₹27,941 crore and Chandrababu Naidu has insisted on completing them within two years. “The steps taken by the Chief Minister to establish Visakhapatnam as the state’s financial capital and IT hub are commendable,” he said.
The expansion of the Bhogapuram airport, new investments from companies like TCS and ArcelorMittal, and new investments from renewable energy companies are indicators of a new economic dawn for the region. “These projects will create thousands of jobs. To revive the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and restore it to 80% operational capacity, it has got ₹11,440 crore from the Centre,” he said.
“This coalition government is committed not only to solving the perennial irrigation and drinking water problems of North Andhra but also to usher in a golden future through growth in industry, IT and agriculture,” said TDP State Chief Srinivasa
