A fake GO was widely circulated on social media on Friday, claiming that the state government has appointed a subcommittee with three ministers to examine the feasibility of increasing the retirement age of regular employees working in institutions, societies and corporations from 62 years to 65 years.

Seeing that… several news websites wrote false stories that the retirement age of state government employees will be increased to 65 years. In fact… the government issued GO No. 1545 on the 22nd of this month, appointing a subcommittee with Ministers P. Narayana, Lokesh and Payyavula Keshav on the issue of increasing the retirement age of those employees from 60 to 62 years.

That is the GO No., the date changed.. Where it said ’60 to 62 years’, it was changed to ’62 to 65 years’ and the fake GO was circulated on social media. don’t believe it.
