The harmful effect of flaws in Vaastu can be reduced by performing spiritual practice ! – Raj Karve, Astrologer, Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay

The way a Vaastu affects the life of a person, his effect can also be seen on a Vaastu. A person practising spirituality has a positive effect on a Vaastu and it reduces the effect of flaws in that Vaastu, stated Mr Raj Karve, an Astrologer and a ‘Vaastu-shastra’ scholar from Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay (MAV) during a national seminar held at Agartala, Tripura on ‘Contribution of ‘Vaastu-shastra in Modern Context’. He presented a research paper on the benefits of constructing a Vaastu as per ‘Vaastu-shastra’, easy spiritual remedies for removal of Vaastu defects; besides explaining the importance of performing spiritual practice. His Guide is Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale and the writer is Mr Karve.

MAV has presented research papers in 111 seminars on sciences, out of which 18 were presented during national seminars and 93 were presented in international seminars held from October 2016 to November 2023. Among them, 13 research papers have received award for the best presentation in international seminars.

Mr Raj Karve said that positive vibrations flow in the house when the entrance of the house is in the right direction, whereas there will be a flow of negative energy if the entrance is in the wrong direction. It has also been observed during experiments conducted so far, using scientific equipment. In short, constructing a house as per ‘Vaastu-shastra’ will result in creating positive vibrations and residents experiencing happiness and peace.

Mr Raj Karve said further that when a house is constructed as per ‘Vaastu-shastra’ creating positive vibrations in the house, preservation of such vibrations depends on the behaviour of the residents in that house. A person, with many defects and a severe ego, may behave improperly, creating negative vibrations in the house. On the other hand, a person with more qualities behaves properly and helps in creating positive vibrations in the house. Performing spiritual practice helps in reducing defects and ego and increasing qualities. Also, the Raja-Tama components in a person reduce, and the Sattva component increases due to spiritual practice which makes the Vaastu positive (Sattvik). The best example of this is the Vaastu of Saints. Saints are always engaged in spiritual practice; hence, the Vaastu where they live, becomes Sattvik. In India, therefore, there is a practice of preserving the birthplaces, residences, and things used by Saints. Research papers on these findings have been presented earlier.
