AMARAVATI: (Talangana) Police raided a poker den run by media representatives, politicians and businessmen in the middle of the night and arrested them?

According to police details, the Karimnagar Rural Police received information that more than 17 people were playing poker together in a house near a hostel in Subhash Nagar, Karimnagar town, Telangana state.

With this, the police stepped in and cleverly caught the poker players. It is reported that a huge amount of cash was seized from them.

However, it seems that among those arrested are members of the Rice Mill Managers Association, Sarpanchs of Thimmapur mandal, ruling party leaders, celebrities from Warangal district and journalists.

The authorities had instructed that the place where the poker players were caught falls within the jurisdiction of 3 Town, so the Rural Police handed over the case to the 3 Town Police as per their instructions.

The 3 Town Police have been investigating the incident for hours, but they are facing criticism for keeping the details of the people, money details and other information confidential. It seems that the police are under increasing pressure from the ruling party leaders to get out.
