AMARAVATI: It is known that the proposal for seven high-speed rail corridors across the country has been introduced in the budget. In this, three corridors have been announced through the Telugu states.

Hyderabad to Bangalore, Hyderabad to Chennai, and Chennai-Bengaluru corridors will pass through AP. While the corridors going to Bangalore and Chennai will pass through Amaravati.. The Chennai-Bengaluru high-speed corridor will pass through Chittoor.

With the arrival of these high-speed rail corridors, the shape of AP will change in the future. Connectivity to the state capital Amaravati will increase further. In this context, AP CM Chandrababu made another key proposal.  It was suggested that a 75-km strategic connectivity be provided between Chittoor and Tirupati in connection with the Bengaluru-Chennai High Speed Corridor.

Chandrababu suggested to Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager of South Central Railway, that providing connectivity between Chittoor and Tirupati would be very beneficial for the Bengaluru-Amaravati corridor. He said that this would create connectivity between Amaravati and Bengaluru.

This would make it possible to make a bullet train available between Bengaluru and Amaravati. A bullet train will run from Bengaluru to Amaravati via Chittoor. This would make two bullet trains available to Amaravati. It seems that the Center is also likely to say okay to Chandrababu’s proposal. The Hyderabad-Chennai High Speed Corridor will pass through Amaravati. With this, one can reach Amaravati from Hyderabad in less than an hour. And Chennai can be reached in 2.55 hours.

The Hyderabad-Bangalore high-speed rail corridor will also pass through AP. Due to this, travel between Hyderabad and Bangalore can be done in 2 hours. The Bangalore-Chennai high-speed rail corridor will pass through Chittoor. Due to this, it will be possible to reach Chennai from Bangalore in 1.13 hours.

If these corridors are completed, bullet trains will be brought between the respective areas. These are capable of traveling at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. They will be built in the elevated corridors method. This will make it easy for people to move around. With the arrival of these bullet trains, not only will travel faster, but employment opportunities will increase with the arrival of new industries. They will also contribute to the economic development of the states. The Center has allocated a total of Rs. thousand crores in the budget for railway projects in AP.
