“CONSTABLES ARE THE FOUNDATION OF THE POLICE SYSTEM — A.P. HOME MINISTER VANGALAPUDI ANITA
Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita stated that constables are the foundation of the police system. She said that discipline, a sense of service, and responsibility towards the public are of utmost importance in the police department. She inaugurated the District Police Training Center (DPTC) with modern facilities for the training of constables at Mamidipalem in Ongole, the headquarters of Prakasam district, today.
Speaking on the occasion, Vangalapudi Anita revealed that this training center has been further developed with the intention of providing disciplined training to constables, who are the backbone of the police department. She stated that this center will play a crucial role in producing police personnel who are equipped with modern training, discipline, and commitment to public service. She suggested that if constables acquire value-based professional skills from the training stage itself, they will be able to provide better services to the public in the future. Anita said that modern technology, a thorough understanding of the laws, and physical fitness are essential for police personnel.
On this occasion, the inauguration of the 9-month basic induction training for 193 candidates selected from East Godavari district for the Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constable (CIVIL) – 2025 batch at the District Police Training College was held grandly. Subsequently, the dignitaries and police officers who attended the program inspected the barracks, classrooms, parade ground, physical training facilities, mess hall, and other infrastructure at the training center, and also viewed a photo exhibition. Following this, a tree plantation program was held in the training center premises for environmental protection.
The program was attended by Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Prakasam District SP V. Harshavardhan Raju, IPS., PTC Principal G.R. Radhika, IPS., NTR Police Commissionerate DCP (Admin) K.G.V. Saritha, IPS., along with Ongole Women’s Police Station DSP V.V. Ramana Kumar, Ongole DSP R. Srinivasarao, Kanigiri DSP Sai Eeshwar Yashwanth, AR DSP K. Srinivasarao, CIs, and SIs.
