Anganwadi workers across Andhra Pradesh started agitation.  The two-day talks with the government have failed, and they are on an indefinite strike from Today.

Anganwadi centers were closed across the state due to this.  CITU, AITUC and IFTU are jointly participating in the strike in support of Anganwadis.  Anganwadi workers and helpers are conducting hunger strikes and agitation programs in CDPO offices and mandal centers across the state.

“The minimum wage should be ₹26,000.  Apart from gratuity other issues should be resolved.  The workload has been increased.. but the salaries have not been increased.  How to update task details in apps given inferior phones?  Only the app given by YS Jagan will be in those phones.  Anganwadis are angry with the state government (YSRCP) saying that they will give additional salary than Telangana.  There are 55,607 Anganwadi centers across the state.  There are approximately one lakh Anganwadi workers and Ayalas.  All of them went on strike.
