The Election Commission has clarified that the term of AP Assembly will end on June 16. The Central Election Commission has given important instructions on the transfer of officials involved in election duties.
Along with AP, the Election Commission has issued important directives to the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha where assembly elections will be held in 2024. The EC said that officers who have worked in one place for more than three years should be transferred immediately.
It has been clarified that the officers of their own districts should also be transferred to other districts. The CEC said that this provision is applicable to all officers involved in election duties, including police officers.
