Until now, CID has been showing dots to those who are posting obscene and provocative posts on social media. Henceforth this wing will increase the focus, under New technology. A monitoring cell has been set up for round-the-clock monitoring of those posting obscene posts on social media. From which ID are you posting, what kind of posts are you posting..? Keeping in mind the following points, the posts which are against the rules will be deleted and strict action will be taken against those who posted them.
This monitoring cell consists of constables with expertise in social media as well as all online and cyber related matters. Along with them, 25 more expert officers will also be appointed.
The team consists of more than 100 specially trained people. They will go ahead with a special plan to punish those who posted from abroad. CID has focused more on social media especially as the elections are approaching. Anyone posting posts that incite political hatreds, divide communities, or insult people will be fined.
Even if it is own ID or fake ID, it is easy to catch. Thus, harassment through social media will be checked. This special department monitors all types of posts regularly. Posts that disrupt peace and security will be clamped down on. Sheets will also be opened against them if they do it again and again and again and again and again and again.
