On 09-04-2024, at about 19:30 hours, the SOT, Maheshwaram Zone team, along with Balapur Police, apprehended two individuals at Shivaji Chowk, Balapur, while they were in illegal possession of Heroin drugs. During interrogation, the accused A1) Lal Babu Kumar from Bihar, confessed that he hails from Bihar State and working at a DJ sound system shop in Saidabad for the past decade. He further confessed that due to financial problems he decided to procure drug from Bihar and intended to sell in Hyderabad for huge money and gain easy money by illegal means with in no time.
He took the assistance of his co-worker, A2) Mohammed Mustaq by offering good share of the profits. To implement his plan, Lal Babu Kumar went to his hometown contacted one peddler / mediator by name Pappu Kuswaha and procured 24 grams of heroin from an individual named Aslam, residing in Raxaul, Champaran District, Bihar @ Rs. 5,000/- per gram. Upon returning to Hyderabad, Lal Babu Kumar and Mustaq were waiting for an opportunity to sell the drug to the needy customers @ Rs.10,000/- per gram. Meanwhile police arrested them, both the accused are being produced in the court for judicial remand.
Efforts are afoot to locate and apprehend the absconding accused Aslam and Pappu Kuswaha.
CASE-II
Cr. No.373/2024 U/s 18 (c) OF NDPS ACT OF MEERPET PS OF RACHAKONDA POLICE COMMISSIONERATE.
On 10-4-2024, the sleuths of SOT, LB Nagar Zone team along with Meerpet police apprehended (01) drug peddlers and seized Contraband Substance Opium -1.5 KG from their possession.

The accused person 1) Shiva is a native of Rajasthan, the accused 2) Agreewath Santosh Das is eking his livelihood by doing carpenter work and both have become friends. To come out of their meager income they have decided to procure opium from Lokesh of Madhya Pradesh state and sell to the needy persons at Hyderabad for huge money and gain easy money by illegal means and become rich within no time.
The accused Santhosh Das confessed that he had provided money to Shiva for procuring 1.5 KG Opium. Accordingly, Shiva brought about 1.5KG Opium from his known source a drug peddler who previously worked as truck driver Lokesh of Madhya Pradesh State and handed over the same to him. Today while he was intend to sell the same to the needy persons @ Rs.5,000/- per 25 Grams, Police apprehended him. The arrested accused being produced in the court for judicial remand.
