AMARAVATI – Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh has called on all stakeholders to cooperate in the development of tourism in the state.
Minister Kandula Durgesh held a virtual meeting on tourism development on Wednesday. Earlier, Minister Kandula Durgesh and tourism department officials formally launched the Holiday in Andhra Pradesh poster.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kandula Durgesh said that as part of Prime Minister Modi’s call in the context of the war environment, the tourism department is organizing several programs to boost the tourism sector in the state under the guidance of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The Minister said that everyone should contribute to the development of tourism in the state. He suggested that destination weddings should be organized in our state. This would help in preserving foreign exchange reserves.
He reminded that there are many places in our state that are blessed with natural beauty like Gandikota, Araku Valley, Vizag, Konaseema.
He said that a program called Holiday in Andhra Pradesh will be organized for a year to sensitize people and boost the tourism sector.
He explained that this will not only develop the respective areas as tourists but also provide employment to the local youth, hotels, stay homes and transportation sectors will get more income.
He said that the tourist areas in the state will be developed in a way that will leave a wonderful memory for the tourists.
He said that all measures are being taken to ensure that the tourists do not face any inconvenience in terms of airport to airport packages.

Minister Kandula Durgesh said that this year’s award as the Tourism Promotion City is a proof of AP’s standing in tourism. We will receive this award on the 4th of next month, which is a matter of pride.
