Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy received orders yesterday to transfer DGP Rajendranath Reddy.Govt of Andhra Pradesh.
The opposition has accused the AP DGP of favoring the ruling YSRCP. For some time now, the EC has received a large number of complaints from the opposition to change the DGP of AP. In this order, the Election Commission has issued an order transferring DGP Rajendranath Reddy.
In this context, it has been mentioned in the order that a lower level officer should be given the responsibilities as DGP. Also, the Election Commission has ordered CS Jawahar Reddy to prepare and send the list of three DG rank officials before 11 am on May 6.
Against this backdrop, CH Tirumala Rao, an IPS officer of the 1990 batch, got a place in the panel list according to seniority. Anjana Sinha and Madireddy Prataplu are on the DGP shortlist. Any one of these three is likely to be appointed as AP DGP.
Moreover Along with the three, the name of another is also under consideration. The name of Harish Kumar K Guptha who is currently serving as the Principal Secretary of the Home Department, is also likely to be included in the DGP panel list.

Harish K Gupta is now holding key responsibilities as Principal Secretary of the AP Home Department. State intelligence people sources suggest that he is an undisputed officer , and honest person trustworthiness and good reputation Officer in Andhra Pradesh.
