AMARAVATI – Bhagyavati, a resident of Thondavada village, Chandragiri mandal, Tirupati district, is reportedly stuck in difficult circumstances in Kuwait. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the authorities to take immediate steps to bring her back safely.
Bhagyavati had gone to Kuwait in February this year in search of employment and was reportedly working as a domestic helper there. However, it has come to light that the agents failed to provide her with a proper work visa.
As per the directions of the state government, the APNRT immediately responded and initiated contact with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait. Keeping the safety of the victim as a priority, efforts are being made to bring her back to India immediately.
The Chief Minister has directed the officials to investigate the role of the agents involved in the incident and take legal action if necessary.

Meanwhile, the Tirupati district administration and Chandragiri police are in constant touch with Bhagyavati’s family members and have assured them of full support. The officials reiterated that the state government will stand by the family and provide all possible assistance until Bhagyavati returns home safely.
