AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leadership has taken serious cognizance of the incident involving Putta Mahesh Kumar Yadav, the TDP MP representing Eluru, who was caught red-handed by the Telangana ‘Eagle’ Police for allegedly consuming drugs while participating in a rave party at a farmhouse in Moinabad, Hyderabad yesterday.
Consequently, the State TDP Chief today issued orders directing the MP to refrain from participating in any party activities until further notice.
In this regard, a written letter was addressed to the Eluru MP. The letter stated: The party leadership has taken a serious view of the allegations leveled against you—specifically, that you consumed narcotic substances during the incident that occurred on March 14, 2026, at the Moinabad farmhouse in Hyderabad—as well as the extensive media coverage surrounding these events. The party believes that these developments are severely detrimental to its reputation.
The party hereby directs you to provide a comprehensive explanation regarding this matter and to abstain from all party-related activities until a thorough report on this issue is received
We instruct you to submit your written explanation regarding the allegations against you to the party within five days. Palla Srinivasa Rao stated that, based on the explanation provided by the MP,

The party leadership would take appropriate action concerning the incident.
