TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh is worried about the terrible conditions of rice donors in the state.

TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh has expressed deep concern that the suicide of a farmer named Kishore Babu in Duggirala Mandal, Mangalagiri Constituency of Guntur District reflects the plight of farmers in the state.

Lokesh expressed grief that five acres of millet crop was lost due to the storm and Kishore Babu was plunged into a deep tragedy due to the incident which resulted in the death of his debts. He made an announcement to this effect on Thursday.

Ten days ago farmer Thullimilli Basava Punnaiah’s suicide of Duggira has deeply affected him. Lokesh alleged that the suicides of rice donors are taking place due to the Jagan government’s lack of support even though they have been partially destroyed by drought and completely destroyed by the storm. Our state ranks second in the country in tenant farmer suicides.

Being at the 3rd place in farmer suicides is an indication of the careless attitude adopted by the Vaikapa government towards the farmers. He assured that no farmer should get discouraged and commit suicide and that the people’s government will come and help them in three months. TDP has helped the family of Thullimilli Basavapunnayya who committed suicide and said that they will support the family of Kishore Babu. Lokesh added.
