On the occasion of the 128th birth anniversary of freedom fighter and hero Alluri Seetharama Raju, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Chief Secretary to the Government K. Vijayanand paid floral tributes to the portrait of Alluri at the Undavalli Camp Office on Friday.

The birth anniversary of revolutionary hero Alluri Seetharama Raju was celebrated with pomp at the Alluri Memorial Park in Krishnadevipet, Golugonda Mandal. After paying homage to the Alluri Seetharama Raju and Malludora memorials, they garlanded the statue and paid homage.

In the meeting that followed, Honorable Speaker Ayyanna patrudu thanked the CM and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for issuing the gazette officially celebrating Alluri Jayanti.

He revealed that he had requested the Tourism Minister to take steps to develop Alluri Park as a tourist destination. He said that this time it needs to be fully developed.

On this occasion, the Speaker thanked Rajya Sabha member Mastan rao Yadav for announcing Rs. 10 lakhs, Lok Sabha member Kalisetti Appalanaidu Rs. 10 lakhs, and Anakapalle MP CM Ramesh Rs. 30 lakhs for the development of the park.

He made suggestions on issues such as power supply through the solar system, repair of the dilapidated slab of the projector room, and construction of a boundary wall. He said that those working here have not received official salaries so far and their salaries are being paid only with the help of donors. The Speaker asked them to ensure that they receive their salaries on behalf of the Tourism Department.

Collector Vijay Krishnan said that Alluri was a great warrior who fought against the British authorities. He said that the P4 program introduced by the CM will stand by the poor.

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said that it is the responsibility of all of us to convey the spirit of Alluri’s struggle to the youth. She announced Rs. 5 lakh from her funds for the development of the park.

District In-charge Minister Kollu Ravindra said that Alluri is a role model for the youth as a real hero and is progressing.

Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh said that the battle site will be turned into a monument. He said that the district will be developed into a circuit connecting the tourist places. He gave away prizes to the students who won the competitions organized on the occasion of Jayanti.
