State Information, Public Relations and Housing Minister Sri Kolusu Parthasarathy gave a statement on the decisions taken in the 25th e-Cabinet meeting held at the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
In this 25th cabinet meeting, the cabinet congratulated the Chief Minister for taking many key and bold decisions that set the direction for the progress of the state and their vision. Similarly, the cabinet congratulated Deputy Chief Minister Sri Konidela Pawan Kalyan and State IT and Human Resource Development Minister Sri Nara Lokesh.
The State Cabinet has approved a proposal by the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department for a one-time settlement of Rs. 575.75 lakh for the supply of safe drinking water through RO plants to Uddanam area and tribal areas of Srikakulam district under the NTR Sujala Scheme and a one-time settlement of Rs. 822.86 lakh for 15 water treatment plants in a cluster-based approach for coverage of 533 water-scarce habitations in 4 mandals of Kuppam constituency of Chittoor district.
Safe drinking water will be provided to 2.42 lakh people in 341 habitations including tribal areas in Seethampet mandal in seven mandals of Srikakulam district including Palasa, Vajrapukotturu, Kaviti, Sompeta, Kanchili, Ichchapuram, Mandasa. Also, 2.85 lakh people in 533 settlements in Kuppam, Gudipalle, Shantipuram and Ramakuppam mandals of Chittoor district will have access to clean drinking water.
In the wake of the issuance of permanent guidelines for early release of life convicts in accordance with the orders of the Supreme Court of India in SLP (Criminal) No. 529/2021, the State Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Home Ministry to grant special pardon to seventeen (17) eligible life convicts by February 1, 2025.
The State Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Home Ministry to promote 248 constables to the rank of Head Constables in APSPF and reduce the strength of constables to 248.
As part of the labour sector reforms, the Department of Labour, Factories, Boilers and Insurance Medical Services (LFB & IMS) has amended some provisions of sections 54, 55, 56, 59, 64, 65 and 66 of the Industries Act, 1948, to reduce the burden of levies on industrial establishments.

The State Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Youth Development, Tourism and Culture Department (YAT&C) to validate the administrative approvals already issued for the modernization of the green hotel Yatri Nivas in Visakhapatnam.

50 acres of land has been allotted by CRDA for the development of Quantum Valley in Amaravati and a detailed project report has been submitted. While IBM is setting up its “156-qubit Quantum System 2” in the state, TCS will be partnering in software development and L&T will be partnering in the development of Quantum Valley Tech Park. This mission, which will contribute to cutting-edge research in the fields of cyber security, drug discovery, material science and high-performance computing, will make the state a national hub for quantum technology. A quantum summit will be held in June 2025 and strategic interaction with international experts will be held.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the main event in Visakhapatnam with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”. Mass yoga programs will be organized with the participation of about 2 crore people across the state to surpass the Guinness World Record of 1.53 lakh people set in Surat in 2023. The Chief Minister suggested that the program be expanded to include up to 5 lakh people along the coastal stretch from Bhimulipatnam to Srikakulam. The Cabinet has approved some more. State Information and Public Relations Director Himanshu Shukla participated in the meeting.
