Principal Secretary of the Home Department Kumar Vishwajeet said that the former military personnel have once again got the opportunity to serve the country and the society with the use of drones and there is a need to make good use of it.
Principal Secretary of the Home Department Kumar Vishwajeet attended the program organized by the State Military Welfare Department, Coromandel International and Daksha Drones at Hotel Minerva as the chief guest on Tuesday.
He said that the former military personnel who have served the country have once again got the opportunity to serve the society with the use of drones. Through this, they can get employment and also provide self-employment opportunities to a few people.
He said that no matter how many opportunities are provided to those who have contributed to the defense of the country, they are few. He said that they should utilize the opportunities provided by Coromandel in the use of drones, this is just the beginning. Both the Coromandel Company and the ex-servicemen want to use this and move forward.
He said that Andhra Pradesh is an agricultural state and farmers can complete the work in a short time by spraying fertilizers and pesticides through drones. He said that the state is being rebuilt in various sectors after the division of the state. He said that the use of drones will be good for both the company and the ex-servicemen.
Brigadier Venkata Reddy, Director of the State Military Welfare Department, said that the vacancies in the Military Welfare Department will be filled very soon.
He said that ex-servicemen are living on pension while raising children, and most of them are being discharged from service for the country at the age of 35. He said that ex-servicemen will need to ensure that they increase their income from other sources.
He said that they need to take advantage of various welfare schemes provided by the Central and State governments. He said that there is a need for Daksha Drones to take free training under the auspices of Coromandel Company and once again provide services to the country and the state. He said that drones have the potential to be used in many ways, not only in the agricultural sector.
