The CM assured that the government will take action for the mango farmers in the future without any problem. Officials explained to the CM in this meeting that 1.12 lakh metric tons of mangoes have been purchased so far and 1.70 lakh metric tons of production is yet to come. On the other hand, the farmers brought to the attention of the CM that there are no orders, there is no space to store it and the pulp industries are not purchasing mangoes.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with the mango farmers, representatives of pulp industries and processing units of the joint Chittoor district. The CM ordered the processing and pulp industries to purchase mangoes from the farmers immediately and support them. At the same time, he said that the government will also support the pulp industries and processing units.

The Chief Minister requested that in some places it is taking 3-4 days just for unloading.  Responding to this, the CM advised the representatives of the processing units and pulp industries to immediately purchase the product and support the farmers.

On the other hand, the mango pulp industries and exporters informed the CM that there are no import duties in Pakistan and African countries, while import duties are high in European countries. They asked him to talk to the Center to convince the respective countries to reduce the duties.

They also requested the CM to talk to reduce the GST imposed on mango pulp from 12 percent to 5 percent. Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that he has already written a letter to the Center on the GST reduction.. and assured that he will talk to the Center again. The Chief Minister expressed his opinion that the current mango production is 6-12 tons per acre and that farmers should get a good price and that the processing units and pulp industry should become viable.

The industry representatives brought to the attention of the Chief Minister the issue of providing mango juice to students for three days as part of the mid-day meal scheme.  However, the CM said that the students are being provided with eggs as a nutritious mid-day meal. He clarified that he will study this issue and think about it further.

Currently, everything in the state is moving towards natural farming. Mango farmers should reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides with discipline. The Chief Minister clarified that testing, tracing and certification have come all over the world. If our products are to be sold, there should be global standards.

Processing industries should purchase mangoes from farmers according to their capacity. Only then will justice be done to the farmer. He clarified that mangoes should be purchased from farmers at a price of Rs. 8 without any waiting. The CM advised the farmers not to fall into the trap of some people who are trying to provoke them.
