AMARAVATI – (Visakhapatnam), Telugu Desam Party state president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao has voluntarily sent his official security arrangements and convoy protocol to sent back in line with the Centre’s call for economy and fuel control in the face of geopolitical uncertainties.
Citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to citizens to reduce fuel consumption, especially in the context of changing circumstances in West Asia, and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s repeated emphasis on responsible governance and frugal spending, Srinivasa Rao said that public representatives should set an example in displaying restraint and accountability.
As part of this decision, the MLA refused to use the bulletproof vehicle allotted to him under Y-category security and returned it to the police department. Stating that a smaller number of personnel would suffice for his official functions, he also decided to reduce his security personnel.
Moreover, to reduce inconvenience to the public and reduce unnecessary government expenditure, Srinivasa Rao has opted out of green-channel travel and elaborate security arrangements and instead opts to undertake constituency tours in his personal vehicle.

He said that he was deeply moved by the Chief Minister’s appeal, recalling the spirit of My country, my responsibility” . “At a time when the country is calling for restraint and emphasis on collective responsibility, every citizen — especially those in public life — should consciously avoid extravagance and inculcate a culture of thrift and discipline,” he commented.
