Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu held a series of meetings with representatives of various organizations in Visakhapatnam.
Along with explaining the investment opportunities in the state, industrialists are being invited to invest. They are also being advised to sign MoUs with EDB with those who come with proposals.
On this occasion, CM Chandrababu met representatives of leading fertilizer and agri-input company Coromandel International Limited. Discussions were held with representatives of the company on expansion of fertilizer manufacturing, green ammonia and agritech projects in the state. Coromandel International Limited, a company belonging to the Murugappa Group, already has fertilizer production units in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada. As a continuation of this, the company has come forward to establish a fertilizer manufacturing center in the state with an investment of another Rs. 2,000 crore.
To this end, an agreement was signed with the state government in the presence of the Chief Minister. Coromandel will invest in some other projects including green ammonia – green hydrogen manufacturing, expansion of fertilizer production units. On the other hand, Chief Minister Chandrababu met NK Agarwal, chairman of leading furniture company Balaji Action Build Well.
They discussed the establishment of a wood-based engineered panel manufacturing unit. Later, NK Agarwal donated Rs. 1 crore to the Chief Minister for the management of the government-run Anna Canteens in the state.
