Andhra Pradesh Government Industries & Commerce and Food Processing Minister Shri T.G. Bharat has called for a strong India-Europe partnership to lead the next industrial revolution through Industry 5.0 anchored in “technology, talent and trust”.
Speaking at the session “Enabling Industry 5.0 through New Age Manufacturing” at the CII India-Europe Business Partnership Roundtable held as part of the 30th Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam, the Minister highlighted that Industry 5.0 is not just an update to Industry 4.0 but a transformation that calls for responsible industrialization and human-centric innovation.
“We are witnessing dramatic automation, AI-led predictive factories and clean circular manufacturing. India has talent and Europe has precision; together, we can create magic,” he said.
Lauding the forward-looking leadership of Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu and Human Resource Development and IT Minister Shri Nara Lokesh, the Minister said Andhra Pradesh is already undergoing a technology-driven transformation. “Policy 4.0 has strengthened the four pillars of the state’s industrial ecosystem,” he said, stressing the need to “build green manufacturing corridors and unlock MSME productivity.”
In conclusion, he invited Andhra Pradesh to become a living laboratory for Industry 5.0, bringing together innovation, sustainability and inclusiveness.
Other speakers in the session included Dr. Edith N. Nordman, LL.M, Chairman, Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce and Trade (NICCT) and Managing Partner, ACG International, Netherlands;
Mr. Amit Gossen, Managing Director, KONE Elevator India Private Limited, India; Mr. Håkan Kingstad, Senior Advisor, Partner, KIGO Consultants & Advisors, Sweden and Chairman, Sweden India Business Council; and Dr. Julie Revier, Country Director, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), India, Germany.
The session was chaired by Mr. Kamal Bali, Chairman, CII Multinational Committee and Managing Director & President, Volvo Group India.

The discussion explored how India’s scale and agility, combined with Europe’s technological precision, can accelerate smart manufacturing, increase sustainability and create new opportunities for private sector collaboration in bridging the technology adoption gap.
