Several global industry leaders and ambassadors today met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Eastern Naval Command Commanding-in-Chief Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu briefed the Vice Admiral about the investments and startups that will serve the defence sector, especially the shipping industry. He said that priority is being given to promoting indigenous shipbuilding and technical assistance to the shipping industry.
He said that Visakhapatnam is going to emerge as a major hub for global services. The Chief Minister suggested setting up a Navy Museum to create awareness among the people about the importance of naval activities and services. He said that the state government is ready to extend support to naval activities.
Taiwanese delegation meets Chief Minister: A Taiwanese delegation led by Mumin Chen met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and expressed its readiness to set up an Indo-Taiwanese industrial park at Kuppam at a cost of Rs 400 crore.

A footwear manufacturing unit in Kuppam, Creative Sensors Inc has come forward to set up an image sensors unit in Orvakal and E Sol India has expressed its readiness to set up an advanced battery manufacturing unit at a cost of $ 2.2 billion in Orvakal.
In the presence of the Chief Minister, the Taiwanese delegation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the AP government. The Chief Minister assured the Taiwanese delegation of providing connectivity to the proposed industrial parks.
He said that the central government will announce incentives for the semiconductor sector. He requested the delegation to set up a skill development centre in Andhra Pradesh for the skilled workers produced.
Meanwhile, Italian Ambassador Antonio Henrico Bartoli met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister explained about the investment opportunities in various sectors in Andhra Pradesh.

He said that there are abundant investment opportunities in the automotive, auto spares, machinery, fashion and food processing sectors. He urged Italian companies to come forward to invest in agritech, renewable energy and shipbuilding. Discussions were held to study the possibilities of setting up an Italian industrial cluster in Andhra Pradesh.
