AMARAVATI –  It is being organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of TDP founder and former Chief Minister Historically, the NT Rama Rao Mahanadu Party has served as a major platform for policy discussions, ideological re-emphasis and strategic direction. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is gearing up to launch ‘Mahanadu-2026’ in an innovative hybrid format from May 27.

With a direct participation at the party headquarters in Amaravati, and an unprecedented digital campaign network spread across the state, the two-day conference is being transformed into not just an annual political conference but a technology-driven mass movement aimed at reconnecting workers with the party’s ideological roots, said Andhra Pradesh TDP chief Palla Srinivas Rao.

The Mahanadu, the annual conference of the Telugu Desam Party, has emerged as a symbolic reaffirmation of Telugu identity, political commitment and collective aspirations.

Every year, Mahanadu becomes a platform where lakhs of Telugu Desam Party workers come together not only to celebrate the party’s legacy but also to participate in shaping its future course,” said Srinivas Rao.

In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent appeal to citizens to exercise restraint in spending amid global uncertainties and international geopolitical tensions, the party has decided to review its plans.

TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh played a key role in shaping the digital architecture behind the hybrid summit, he said. He said Mahanadu 2026 will usher in a “new digital chapter” in the history of the organisation, in line with the needs of the rapidly changing political climate.

The aim is to make every worker an active participant in the Sabha’s activities. Party workers who met at cluster centres and during the summits, TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu interacted with Lokesh They will speak virtually.

This year, Mahanadu will focus on ‘Stree Shakti’ — women empowerment — as its main theme.

The digital summit will continue for about six hours every day from 10 am to 6 pm, with resolutions, policy discussions and institutional consultations focused on the future direction of Andhra Pradesh.

Describing Mahanadu as a “turmeric festival that fills the Telugu community with pride”, TDP state president Srinivas Rao appealed to party workers, supporters and leaders across the state to participate wholeheartedly and make the event a grand success.
