State Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh has strongly accused the YSR Congress Party of targeting the Janasena Party and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan with a conspiracy to damage the coalition government.
He made key comments on those who are engaging in personality attacks on social media platforms and the future activities of Rushikonda Palace.
Minister Durgesh said that everyone has the right to criticize the government, but it is not right to engage in personality attacks in the name of criticism. He was furious that the YSRCP is making a fuss about every small matter related to Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.
He alleged that it was the YSR Congress Party that brought the culture of obscenity to the fore in the state, and now it is the YCP mob that is committing personality assassination. “The ‘freedom of expression’ was created by the architect of the Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Moreover, it is not ‘liberty’ to assassinate the character of others. Freedom of expression does not mean giving a license to speak obscenities,” the minister clarified.
The minister gave a strong warning to social media psychos and miscreants who resort to personal insults in the name of caste platforms. He said that what people like ‘Ravan’ are doing is not a social struggle, but blackmailing for YouTube views.
He alleged that these days, insulting Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan has become a daily bread scheme for some. He warned that if people speak beyond the limits for views and publicity, the law will take its course and they will have to bear the reactions that will come. He made it clear that there needs to be strict control over social media and if the limits are crossed, the law will have to be bowed down to.
He said that the Cabinet Sub-Committee has already submitted a report to the government on the use of Rushikonda Palace. He said that the government intends to use this palace for the state’s hospitality sector, for public visits and for the development of tourism.

Minister Kandula Durgesh revealed that it has been decided to develop this project in the lease, operation and maintenance model and that ‘Expression of Interest’ has already been invited for the management of the buildings.
